As mum’s, we all know that a clean floor provides a hygienic play area for our kids. I am constantly sweeping and vacuuming my floors throughout the day. Floors are the worst to keep on top of. If you are a regular reader of my blog, you will know that our family moved into our first home a few weeks ago, and the floors are brand new. We have tiles in the bathroom, and laminate floorboards in the rest of the house. Theres really not alot to clean, and i’m not a big fan of keeping a big mop and bucket in the laundry; so i wanted to find an alternative. I was at the local Coles supermarket when i saw the Dettol Floor Cleaning System.
I had a good look at it and eyed it off a few times before I thought I would give it a try. It was advertised for $22 in the superket and that included the mop and a packet of 15 wipes. I also purchased an extra packet of 30 floor wipes for $11.
To put the mop together, I simply had to screw the four handle pieces firmly together. Next I took out a wipe from the re-sealable packet, than wrapped it around the sweeper head of the mop and attatched the edges of the wipe into the grips on top of the sweeper head. Pretty simple, right?
As soon as I started mopping, I could smell how fresh my floors smelt. The floors were also drying straight away! I’m used to my old mop taking half an hour just for the floors to dry.
The Dettol Floor Cleaning System is actually so much more cleaner than a mop. The wipes are said to kill 99.9% of germs including E.Coli and Staphylococcus. I was very impressed with how great it cleaned my floors. It’s like cleaning all your floors with a wipe; without having to break your back! Haha.
