Hey guys! Today I thought I would share a simple and easy recipe our family absolutely loves. We love cooking easy dinners and we will be posting up easy dinner recipe’s to share with you.
What You Will Need :
- Chicken Schnitzels x2 as big as you like
- Potatoes x5 med size
- Carrots x2 med size
- Corn x4 baby corn
- Cheese 2x handfuls
- Tomato paste 4 tbs
- Gravy half a packet
- Oil/spray of your choice for frypan
- Salt & Pepper optional to season
- Milk & butter not alot, enough to mash the potatoes
What To Do :
Fill up pot with enough water to cover the potatoes and bring to the boil.
Cut the potatoes into cubes and the carrots into circles than simply add only the potatoes into the boiling water. We usually cook the vegies abit later because it doesnt take too long to cook. We leave the potatoes to simmer until their nice and soft; try putting a fork into a potato and see how soft it is. If your fork goes all the way through without a problem, than it’s just about ready.
Place Chicken Schnitzels onto a lightly greased frying pan. Be sure the frying pan is already heated and nice and hott! We had to use two pans as the chicken was too big.
Fill up another pot with water and bring to the boil before putting carrots and corn in. Flip the chicken schniztel’s once they start browning.
When the chicken schnitzel is cooked, add 2 tablespoons of tomato paste and a handful of cheese. Place schnitzel’s in the oven in the grilling steeing to melt the cheese. Put the gravy in the microwave for 30 seconds or required time.
Mash the potatoes, adding milk and butter little bits at a time. We love to smother the mash in lots of butter and milk, you can deffinetly taste the difference.
Serve it up! 🙂 Let me know how you like to cook chicken schnitzel.
