Easter is just around the corner, and I really can’t wait!
I know our daughter is so young, she won’t remember Easter but i really want to make it special this year. I’m excited for her to age every year and do a new craft together, especially Easter crafts!
I was thinking of a few idea’s to do for the blog for Easter; and I actually had to cross most of them off because I am so horrible at doing anything decorative or creative!
So I went off to the shops and bought a few Easter crops and decorations.
Me and my partner chucking a “Happy Easter” banner on the floor along with a light up rabbit, a book and some bunny ears in our living room was my fail idea of an Easter decoration pic. That’s the best we could do.. haha, sadly that’s the truth about this. Although our daughter absolutely adores those bunny ears! The chocolates we bought for the picture of course me and Cameron ate them.
I love this basic Easter outfit for a little girl. I haven’t decided what I will be dressing Brooke in for Easter yet but I put together this cute outfit. Depending on the weather this will be ideal!
Last Year at Easter time, our daughter was only a month old and I was still recovering from motherhood so we didn’t do much. This year she’s one and so much fun. I have always loved Easter as a child and I’m lucky enough to continue Easter traditions with our daughter.
Will the Easter Bunny come?
Yes the Easter Bunny will be coming with a couple of chocolates and a few toys. I love the idea of “The Easter Bunny” at Easter time and the excitement that comes from children’s faces. I never want to spoil our daughter even if it’s Christmas or her birthday. Yeah, she deserves the world from us but I really want to teach her more about the meaning of life and appreciate different things from an early stage. Spoiling a child has always been something I never ever wanted to do. She will always be my best friend and I want the best life for her possible. But anyway yes the Easter bunny is a big part of Easter for us.
Our plans for Easter Day
We usually all get up together and either cuddle in bed or get straight into Breaky! Once Brooke opens up her pressies we will all get ready and go visit our parents. They adore Brooke and, they will love being able to spend time with Brooke for Easter. We plan on seeing my nan and Brooke’s cousin Lachlan, but if we don’t get around to it we are going to go somewhere as a family. We have also been talking about doing a late night Easter Egg hunt for me and Cameron, haha should great.
Other Easter traditions
um, pigging out on hot cross buns and easter chocolates. Baking Easter goodies with our toddler and spending time as a family.
Easter will be here before we know it, so I better start preparing my Easter tasks and shopping that I have to do!
