Featherdale Wildlife Park

By The Watts

Happy Friday everyone! Gosh the week is almost over. I have been abit delayed with this post because I’m so slow at editing photo’s but last weekend me and my family were lucky enough to be able to go to Featherdale Wildlife Park.

Featherdale Wildlife Park is Sydney’s hand’s on wildlife experience with over 1,700 mammals, birds and reptiles. You can’t get any closer to wildlife than here at Featherdale. It is located in the Blacktown area, it only took us half an hour to get there from our home. Brooke had quite a good nap on the way.

Ticket prices for an adult is $31 and for a child aged 3-17 it costs $17 which is an ideal price for the whole day. They also have discounts for pensioners and students. When you purchase your tickets you receive a sweet little passport for the kids to stamp an image of the animal they just visited!

Brooke LOVED all the animals, it was great to see her interacting with them.

It was a great day out. We had some lunch at the cafe/kitchen and enjoyed our day together. We would love to take Brooke again when she get’s bit older. The place is so close to us and very convenient to get to.

I have also made a video you can watch here.

  1. Looks like Brooke had a great time. You did great with the pictures and video, I think Brooke sleeping on the way was just her charging up her battery to have plenty of energy. 🙂

  2. Ooh! I went there on my way up to Blue Mountains when I last visited Sydney. I loved that park, I love that you get to interact with most of them. I can only imagine how much fun your little Brooke had 🙂 and you guys of course 😀
